Senior Housing Properties Trust (NYSE:SNH) (SNH) on Tuesday said its fiscal fourth- quarter net income rose to $23.3 million, or 26 cents a share, from $17.5 million, or 22 cents a share, a year earlier. The trust recorded a loss in the 2007 first quarter of $2 million, or 2 cents a share, for the early retirement of senior notes.
The Newton, Mass., real estate investment trust posted funds from operations of $38.3 million, or 42 cents a share.
Senior Housing Properties' (NYSE:SNH) revenue increased to $49.6 million from $44.8 million.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had expected revenue of $50.7 million.
