Levitt Corp. (NYSE:LEV) (LEV) and Woodbridge Equity Fund LLP withdrew its nominees late Thursday for Office Depot Inc.'s (NYSE:ODP) (ODP) board and urged investors to withhold their votes for Office Depot's (NYSE:ODP) candidates.

Office Depot (NYSE:ODP) said earlier Thursday that Egan-Jones Proxy Services and Glass Lewis & Co. recommended shareholders vote against the slate of directors nominated by Levitt and Woodbridge.

Levitt, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., real estate holding company and Woodbridge said their decision was due in part to the recommendations of the proxy services.
