ActiveKEY Named Enabler for REALTOR® Association of Northwest Chicagolands 2008 Gold Value Chain Award for Machine-to-Machine Technology Adoption

GE Security, Inc., a business of GE Enterprise Solutions (NYSE:GE), today announced its Supra ActiveKEY, the first wireless lockbox key system designed for mobile real estate professionals, has been recognized as enabling technology supporting the REALTOR Association of Northwest Chicagoland’s 2008 Gold Value Chain Award win. The Northwest Chicagoland association is one of nearly 200 real estate boards and associations nationwide offering its members the competitive advantages the innovative ActiveKEY solution can offer.

The Value Chain Awards are presented by M2M magazine to the most successful corporate adopters of machine-to-machine (M2M) technology and the technology solutions providers that made their adoption possible. The ActiveKEY system, currently being used by the REALTOR® Association of Northwest Chicagoland, which serves more than 7,500 real estate professionals, was recognized for its cellular innovation.

GE Security’s Supra ActiveKEY utilizes cellular technology to provide competitive intelligence in the form of real-time notifications of showings of listed properties and associated feedback reports. In addition, ActiveKEY users have the ability to immediately deactivate a lost or stolen key, enhancing security for real estate professionals and their homeowner customers.

“This award is a testament to GE Security’s commitment to providing the industry with cutting-edge and innovative solutions that help agents compete and win in today’s real estate market,” said Jeff Antrican, vice president, GE Security Supra. “More importantly, we are especially pleased to see our customer, the REALTOR Association of Northwest Chicagoland, and their use of our ActiveKEY solution, receive this award.”

The near real time intelligence offered by the ActiveKEY solution can help agents be more competitive in today’s tight real estate environment, more quickly reacting to local market conditions, while better serving their customers through more efficient, effective and timely interactions with showing agents and buyers.

“M2M technology is a growing trend within the industry,” said, Peggy Smedley, editorial director of M2M magazine.

STupid Key by Robert
This is yet another stupid thing that the Realtor Association makes the poor realtors cough up more $$$ to solve a problem that no one really had. Does the Realtor Association think everyone is rich or what?
