Montreal, Canada, August 6th , 2008, Viropro Inc. (OTC BB - NASDAQ : VPRO). Viropro is pleased to announce important additions to the team of scientists and researchers working on the development of its lead Monoclonal antibody, a generic form of Rituximab in order to meet the requirements of its contract with Intas Biopharmaceuticals Ltd. Of India and other potential sub-licensees.

Dr Edmund Ziomek has over 38 years of experience working in Biochemistry both in Poland and in Canada. He has spent the last 27 years working as a Research Officer at the National Research Council of Canada. Dr Ziomek has very broad knowledge in analytical and biological chemistry. He has co-authored 52 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has developed or co-developed 5 patents throughout his career. Finally, Dr Ziomek holds an Adjunct Professor and Faculty Member position (part-time) at Bishop's University.

Ms Tatiana Chevaldina is working on the development of protein purification. Ms Chevaldina is an expert in protein purification and analysis. She worked for 6 years in Biopharmaceutical product development at Sanofi-Pasteur's Toronto facility. Her most recent appointment was with the Biotechnology Research Institute where she worked on large-scale protein purification for industrial applications. Ms Chevaldina possesses a Master's degree of Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Toronto and has co-authored 5 peer-reviewed scientific papers.

Finally, Mr Terrance J. Sereda, M. Sc., has extensive expertise in Protein Chemistry and documentation as required by regulatory agencies. Mr Sereda will be working on the project as a consultant. He has over 22 years of scientific experience. His most recent appointment was with Cangene Corporation, where he held 3 different positions over a 13 year period, i.e., Senior Research Scientist (2003-2007), Supervisor of Protein Chemistry (1997-2003) and Senior Research Technician (1994-1997). His work as a Senior Research Scientist, in the Analytical Assay Development and Formulation group, involved preparation of documentation (specific sections within the Chemistry and Manufacturing Controls module) for submission to the FDA, formulation development for a recombinant protein, as well as developmental work for patent preparation.

Terry Sereda holds a Master of Science (Biochemistry), obtained in 1994 from the University of Alberta and has authored 5 publications relating to the reversed phase chromatographic separation of peptides.
