Rayonier (NYSE:RYN) chairman, president and CEO Lee Thomas will be
featured tomorrow morning as a guest on CNBC’s
live business show “Squawk Box,”
to discuss the economy and energy.
The show will be guest hosted by Southern Company CEO David Ratcliffe,
who has invited Thomas to participate in an informal interview slated to
air between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. Thomas is expected to talk about the
U.S. forest products industry and its significance in establishing
viable alternative energy solutions. He may also comment on other
economic topics, including the effects of current energy prices on
manufacturing and the effect of a competitive dollar upon the export
market.
Before joining Rayonier in 2007, Thomas was president of
Georgia-Pacific, and has previously served as chairman of the Law
Companies Environmental Group Inc. and administrator of the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency.
