MARIETTA, Ga., June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Matria Healthcare, Inc.
(Nasdaq: MATR) announced today that it has been awarded three new disease
management accounts and ten of its current accounts are implementing
expansions to their Matria provided programs and services.
Matria's three new awards of business are all with self-insured employers.
Two of the new accounts are offering Matria's wellness programs, one of which
is combining the Company's proprietary Health Risk Assessment tool with the
wellness program to create even greater health awareness for their employees
and dependents. The other new account is offering the Company's maternity
management program and services to identify and manage their pregnant
employees and dependents at risk for premature delivery or other complications
of pregnancy.
Nine of the expanded existing accounts are adding additional Matria health
enhancement programs. Six of the nine are self-insured employers and three
are health plans. The other existing account is a health plan that is
offering the Company's wellness program and services to an additional three of
their Administrative Services Only (ASO) self-insured employer clients.
All of the existing accounts currently offer multiple Matria disease
management programs. Seven of the existing accounts expanding the Company's
programs are adding Matria's wellness programs that address the factors,
lifestyle and behaviors that compromise the wellness and productivity of their
members or employees, one is adding the Company's 24/7 nurse triage services
and one is adding Matria's biometric screening capabilities to complement the
disease management programs currently in place.
