Solution Helps Wireless Manufacturer Respond to Market Demand More
Rapidly
BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE:BE), one of the world’s
largest management and technology consulting firms, today announced that
it has deployed Oracle® Demantra Demand
Management to improve the strategic planning and forecasting functions
at Kyocera Wireless Corp., based in San Diego, Calif.
Kyocera Wireless, a leading global manufacturer of wireless handsets,
devices and embedded machine-to-machine modules, was looking for a
solution to replace its manual process for planning and forecasting,
improve accuracy, maintain a better audit trail, generate consistent
enterprise-wide reports and spreadsheets, and create one source of data
for forecasting and planning.
To address Kyocera Wireless’ requirements,
BearingPoint deployed the Oracle Demantra Demand Management to help
Kyocera Wireless better sense, shape and respond to demand. The solution’s
automated analytics can generate accurate forecasts quickly and turn the
forecasts into consensus plans without the need of advanced statistical
expertise.
“In less than four months, BearingPoint helped
us replace our manual, spreadsheet-forecasting processes with a
state-of-the-art planning process,” said Todd
Huffine, Kyocera Senior Director of Information Technology. “The
integrated, streamlined process now provides better communication of
forecast information and faster development and modification of sales
and operating plans."
As part of the engagement, BearingPoint also worked with Kyocera to put
in place a streamlined user interface, online forecast measurement tools
and automated change tracking capabilities.
“BearingPoint's 15-year partnership with
Oracle gives us an in-depth understanding of Oracle's products and
technologies, such as Oracle Demantra, enabling us to rapidly deploy
solutions for our clients,” said François
Van Houdenhoven, Managing Director, BearingPoint.
