NEW YORK, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cohen & Steers announced today that approximately 55% of the auction market preferred securities (AMPS) issued by Cohen & Steers REIT and Utility Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE: RTU) will be redeemed at par value and on a pro rata basis in October 2008.*
