Repositioning in External Affairs and Public Policy NAFTA

STUTTGART, Germany, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Following the separation from Chrysler, DaimlerChrysler AG's External Affairs and Public Policy Department will also undergo a realignment with respect to NAFTA. Under the management of Robert G. Liberatore, who has had worldwide responsibility for the department since September 2003, Jake Jones (40) assumed the company's newly formed office in Washington, D.C. on August 3. He will be responsible for External Affairs and Public Policy NAFTA and will cover contacts in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Jake Jones has been employed by the Company since 2000 and was previously responsible for Congressional Affairs in Washington, DC.

The future Daimler AG will retain Group offices in Berlin, Brussels, Stuttgart, and Washington as well as a network of Group representative offices for its political dialog.
