Learning Tree International (NASDAQ NM:LTRE) was awarded a CLO Magazine Learning
In Practice award at a presentation ceremony held September 25th,
2008, during their Fall Chief Learning Officer Symposium at the Hotel de
Coronado in San Diego, CA.
Learning Tree received a Gold Level award in the category Excellence
in Social Networks for developing and implementing its CLO Learning
Leaders Seminars. Learning Tree initiated these seminars in cooperation
with its client, ManTech International, to form a social network of
learning professionals, including Chief Learning Officers and other
training executives working in both the public and private sectors in
the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The seminars provide a structure
and process by which these professionals can regularly share
information, discuss relevant training issues and freely communicate
actions taken within their organizations to address them.
The awards themselves are described by Norm Kamikow, President and
Editor-in-Chief of Chief Learning Officer magazine, as being, “…established
to recognize transformational and visionary leaders in enterprise
education. The winners are the industry leaders who truly champion
innovation and transform it into learning and value.”
Donald Berbary, President of Reston, VA-based Learning Tree
International USA, said, “We are very pleased
to be recognized by CLO Magazine for this prestigious award. We
also thank our colleagues and peers in the training industry for
recognizing our efforts in advancing the critical dialogue between
professionals that will enable us to address the learning issues we face
today as well as preparing for future challenges. We look forward to
expanding our CLO Learning Leaders Seminars to cities around the country
in the coming year.”
