NWA Cargo Announces Further Decreases in Fuel Surcharges - Oct 9 2008 11:01AM

Effective October 20, 2008, NWA Cargo will reduce its fuel surcharges in certain markets in response to the recent decline in the price of jet fuel. Changes in fuel surcharges are subject to government approvals where required.

Surcharges for all domestic shipments will be reduced from $0.46 to $0.42 per pound.

Trans-Atlantic fuel surcharges for shipments from the U.S. to Europe, Africa and the Middle East will be reduced from $1.10 to $1.05 per kilogram.

Surcharges for shipments from the U.S. to Korea and Japan, as well as from Korea and Japan to the U.S., will also decrease to $1.05 per kilogram.

Westbound trans-Pacific surcharges from the U.S. to Shanghai (PVG), Guangzhou (CAN), and points beyond, will decrease from $0.40 to $0.35 per kilogram.

Surcharges on the longest routes in the NWA cargo network, including all other shipments between the U.S. and Asia, will decrease from $1.20 to $1.15 per kilogram.
