Leaves are falling, so are our prices - as low as $69 from Seattle to the Bay Area

SEATTLE, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air have launched a fall sale featuring low fares to many of the carriers' destinations in the Lower 48. The one-way fares start as low as $49 for Horizon Air flights in Washington and Oregon and $69 for Alaska Airlines flights to the Bay Area.

'Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air cover the West with more flights to more destinations on the West Coast than any other airline,' said Steve Jarvis, Alaska Airlines' vice president of marketing, sales and customer experience. 'We're hoping that customers will take advantage of these low fares and our great schedules to plan a fall getaway before the holidays.'

Customers should act fast, as tickets must be purchased by Oct. 23 for travel from Oct. 24 through Dec. 17, 2008.

Sample one-way fares are: $49 between Portland and Redmond/Bend, Ore.; $69 between Seattle and San Francisco; $99 between Portland and Phoenix; $109 between Seattle and Orange County, Calif.; $129 between Seattle and Palm Springs, Calif.; and $130 between Seattle and Minneapolis/St. Paul. (The carrier begins twice-daily, nonstop service between Seattle and the Twin Cities on Oct. 26.)

A complete list of fares is available at alaskaair.com and horizonair.com or by calling (800) ALASKAAIR.
