LITTLETON, Mass., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- LiveWire Mobile (Nasdaq: NMSS),
a global provider of mobile managed personalization services, today announced
that it has been nominated as a finalist for 'Best Mobile Music' for their
integrated storefront as part of the 2008 Mobile Excellence Awards, presented
by Mobile Monday Global. LiveWire Mobile's storefront provides an integrated
user experience that allows mobile subscribers to shop for specific content,
select different music genres, or focus on particular artists under one
central storefront. Other key features of the service include an integrated
search engine and enhanced music discovery with artist images, biographies and
album reviews.
'Sustaining such high levels of creativity and innovation is an
exceptional accomplishment. We commend LiveWire Mobile for envisioning and
creating an entirely new music service that changed how people think about
mobile,' said Alison Dollar, CEO, Interactive Television Alliance, and
co-chair of Mobile Excellence Awards. 'LiveWire Mobile has overcome enormous
challenges in successfully developing mobile personalization services for
their carrier partners. We are very proud to welcome them as the 2008 'Best
Mobile Music' finalists for the Mobile Excellence Awards.'
Presented by Mobile Monday, the awards were founded to recognize all walks
of the mobile ecosystem, and to celebrate the best in mobile media,
technology, marketing and entertainment. This year's winners will fall under
five separate categories: Mobile Business, Mobile Technology, Mobile
Marketing, Mobile Entertainment and a special Star Award category which
recognizes the fastest growing mobile company based on accelerated growth,
impact and industry achievements overall.
'We're honored that the Mobile Excellence Awards have selected our
integrated storefront for finalist status,' said John Orlando, vice president
of marketing, LiveWire Mobile. 'By bringing together all of the silos of
mobile personalization services-full-track music, video, ringbacks and
ringtones, we're taking a new approach to delivering services that decreases
vendor complexity for carriers, while increasing content sales and empowering
subscribers to enjoy a one-stop shopping experience.'
A reception for finalists will take place on Monday, October 27th, 2008 at
Digital Hollywood in Santa Monica, California. Winners will be announced at
the 2008 Mobile Excellence Award Ceremony at a special Mobile Monday event on
December 8th at the Sofitel Hotel.
