DECATUR, Ill., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Archer Daniels Midland
Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today at its 85th Annual Shareholders' Meeting
that nine incumbent directors were re-elected to its Board. The directors
re-elected are: George W. Buckley, Mollie Hale Carter, Victoria F. Haynes,
Antonio Maciel Neto, Patrick J. Moore, M. Brian Mulroney, Thomas F. O'Neill,
Kelvin R. Westbrook and Patricia A. Woertz.
Alan L. Boeckmann did not stand for re-election due to his employer's
corporate governance guidelines limiting the number of outside corporate
boards on which he may serve.
Cash Dividend Declared
The Board of Directors of ADM also declared a cash dividend of 13 cents
per share on the Company's stock payable December 11, 2008, to Shareholders of
record November 20, 2008.
This is ADM's 308th consecutive quarterly payment, a record of 77 years of
uninterrupted dividends. As of September 30, 2008, there were 641,347,846
shares of ADM stock outstanding.
