'Wish Upon a Star,' available at www.circuitcity.com/wish beginning November 2, 2008, works two ways. A guest can create a Circuit City wish list and then enlist the help of a well-known celebrity to contact their friends and relatives with a customized helpful reminder. Alternatively, guests can send a celebrity message asking an intended gift recipient to create and share a Circuit City wish list of their own.

The fun and not-so-subtle hints can be delivered via telephone, email or both by the following celebrities:

    -- Country Music Association & Academy of Country Music Vocal Group of the
       Year Rascal Flatts
    -- Olympic Champion Gymnast Shawn Johnson
    -- Rapper and Actor Ice-T

The 'Wish Upon a Star' service will be available at Circuit City's Web site through January 31, 2009. The concept and program were developed in conjunction with New York City-based interactive agency, Sharpe Partners.

Consumer electronics remain high on wish lists for American adults and teens, according to recent research from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)(R). According to the CEA 15th Annual CE Holiday Purchase Patterns Study, nearly 80 percent of adults expressed interest in receiving a consumer electronics product as a gift this holiday season.

Other hot gift categories this holiday season include HDTV, GPS navigation, video game consoles and software, MP3, and digital cameras and camcorders.
