CALGARY, Nov. 12 /CNW/ - Cadence Energy Inc. (formerly, Kereco Energy
Ltd.) ("Cadence"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Barrick Gold Corporation
("Barrick"), announced that effective today it has changed its name to Barrick
Energy Inc. ("Barrick Energy"). Cadence's 4.75% convertible debentures, which
became convertible into common shares of Barrick effective September 4, 2008,
will continue to be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the trading
symbol "CDS.DB".
