SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/02/08 -- In the news release, "Lockheed Martin Selects
LynuxWorks'(TM) LynxOS®-SE 5.0 and Luminosity 3.0.6 for Medium Extended
Air Defense System (MEADS(TM))," issued earlier today by LynuxWorks, we are
advised by the company that the last sentence of the first paragraph should
read "The two software applications provide companies with a fast and easy
way to create, edit, compile, manage and debug system applications." rather
than "The two software applications will speed Lockheed Martin's time to
market by providing a fast and easy way to create, edit, compile, manage
and debug its MEADS launch system applications." as originally issued. We
are also advised by the company that the last sentence of the third
paragraph should read "LynxOS-SE is designed to help companies meet the
stringent security needs and requirements inherent in complex systems."
rather than "LynxOS-SE is the only software built to meet the stringent
security needs and requirements of Lockheed Martin and the U.S., German and
Italian militaries." as originally issued. We are also advised by the
company that the fifth paragraph has been removed. Complete corrected text
follows.

EAL 4 Certifiable Operating System Enables Lockheed Martin to Meet the
Security and Certification Needs Required by U.S., German and Italian
Governments
SAN JOSE, CA -- December 02, 2008 -- LynuxWorks(TM), Inc., a world
leader in the embedded software market, today announced that Lockheed
Martin (NYSE: LMT) has selected LynuxWorks' LynxOS®-SE 5.0 and Luminosity
3.0.6 for the company's Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS(TM)),
which is designed to replace PATRIOT systems in the United States and
Germany and Nike Hercules systems in Italy. The two software applications
provide companies with a fast and easy way to create, edit, compile, manage
and debug system applications.
LynxOS-SE was chosen in part because it is the first and only time- and
space-partitioned, real-time operating system (RTOS) capable of running
POSIX®, ARINC-653 and Linux applications simultaneously.
"This is the first time LynxOS-Security Enhanced has been implemented by
Lockheed Martin for one of the company's air defense systems," said Gurjot
Singh, CEO, LynuxWorks. "LynxOS-SE is designed to help companies meet the
stringent security needs and requirements inherent in complex systems."
LynxOS-SE is a POSIX-conformant RTOS designed specifically to fulfill the
stringent needs of multi-threaded and multi-process applications in
high-performance systems.
