MOSCOW. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Russian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Andrei Zakharov died in Abu Dhabi early on Saturday, a diplomatic source told Interfax.
"The head of the Russian diplomatic mission died early on Saturday. The preliminary reason of death is cardiac arrest, although we cannot yet officially name the reason of death," he said.
Zakharov was 65. He has served as Russia's ambassador to the UAE for nearly three years.
"We are working now to arrange the transportation of his body back home," the source said.
