(Source: Daily News Bulletin; Moscow - English)trackingMOSCOW. Jan 5 (Interfax) - Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) has announced that on Sunday the Ukrainian side refused to accept additional gas for consumers in Europe.

"Naftogaz Ukrainy yesterday refused to accept from Gazprom 15 million cubic meters of additional natural gas via the Kobrin measuring facility to meet the request of foreign customers," the Gazprom press service told Interfax on Monday.

On Sunday Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov told Interfax that his company fulfills all orders from European consumers.

"Gazprom gives gas to the Ukrainian gas transportation system in strict compliance with the transit contract and the orders of European consumers. Lower pressure at the exit from the Ukrainian gas transportation system is linked to the fact that the Ukrainian side does not fulfill its obligations," he said.
