Jan. 15--Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Chief Rodney Monroe will meet tonight with residents and business representatives from two south Charlotte divisions.
The community meeting will be at 6 p.m., for the Providence and South police divisions.
It will take place in the Discipleship Center at Central Church of God, at Sardis and Randolph roads. Since becoming CMPD's chief last June, Monroe has been meeting with groups around Charlotte.
At tonight's meeting, Monroe will be accompanied by police leaders from the two south Charlotte divisions. He will outline current crime-fighting efforts and will answer questions from the public.
