Jan. 16--U.S. TREASURY INVESTS $44 MILLION IN CADENCE: Cadence Financial Corp. has joined the list of banking companies with a Memphis presence that have received investments from the U.S. Treasury troubled asset recovery plan.

Cadence Bank has five branches in the Memphis area.
Two Memphis-based banking companies, First Horizon National Corp. and Magna Bank, have gotten TARP money, along with Bank of America, SunTrust Bank, Regions Financial Corp., Synovus Financial Corp. and Trustmark Corp., which have operations in the area.
SERVICEMASTER SPONSORS: ServiceMaster Clean has announced that it signed a multiyear deal to be the first official sponsor of the caution period during races at International Speedway Corp. and Speedway Motorsports Inc. race tracks.
When there is a problem on the track, the ServiceMaster Clean Yellow Flag will wave, and the company's yellow trucks will be dispatched to clean the track.
"The idea of a racing sponsorship has been one that has generated a lot of excitement within our franchise network," said Jim Wassell, chief marketing officer of ServiceMaster Clean. "Fan loyalty to partners and sponsors is immeasurable, and we recognize that they historically support and invest in companies that share their passion for the sport of racing."
ServiceMaster Clean will have official and exclusive sponsorship of the Yellow Flag at all 19 ISC and SMI race tracks nationwide
The tracks feature 31 NASCAR Sprint Cup, 24 Nationwide and 17 Camping World Truck Series races and hundreds of other racing events.
CHANGES FOR BLUFF CITY: Big changes lie ahead for Bluff City Bayou.
The Midtown restaurant has shut its location at Madison and Orleans; however, the restaurant is scheduled to reopen at a new location, 2121 Peabody, sometime in early March.
Another big change is on the menu: Instead of catering to a lunch-only crowd, Bluff City Bayou plans to start serving dinner, Tuesdays through Saturdays.
EXERCISE EQUIPMENT: The Church Health Center will be getting two new elliptical exercise machines, courtesy of a grant from a law firm's foundation.
The Butler, Snow, O'Mara, Stevens & Cannada Foundation announced the grant to help support the Church Health Center's Hope and Healing Program.
The foundation was established in 1997 after a client donated a generous gift to the law firm of the same name.
The foundation also announced grants to support charitable causes in Mississippi.
