(the "Company") (TSX-V: WBI) is pleased to announce a successful pre-CTA ("Clinical Trial Application") meeting with the Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD) of Health Canada regarding two proposed Phase II clinical studies and a comprehensive, long-term development plan to enable a marketing application for WBI-1001 as a topical treatment for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis in Canada. The purpose of the meeting was to seek guidance and concurrence from the TPD for the proposed trials and development plan. Prior to this meeting, the Company submitted, for review by the regulators, a meeting information package to update the TPD on toxicology/safety and clinical studies conducted on WBI-1001 to date and on the Company's development plans for this drug candidate. Health Canada provided feedback and guidance on Welichem's trials and development plans.
