CH Robinson Worldwide, a US-based third-party logistics company, has reported a net income of $359.18 million for the full year 2008, an increase of 10.8%, compared to $324.26 million for full year 2007.
For the full year 2008, gross revenues increased 17.3% to $8.58 billion, compared to $7.32 billion in 2007. Gross profits increased 10.5% to $1.37 billion in 2008, compared to $1.24 billion in 2007.
The company has reported that its net income for the fourth quarter of 2008 increased 4.3% to $88.9 million, compared to $85.25 million in the same period of 2007. The gross profits for the fourth quarter of 2008 increased 6.6% to $344.16 million, compared to $322.75 million in the same period of 2007.
Gross revenues increased 0.2% to $1.96 billion in the fourth quarter of 2008, compared to $1.95 billion in the fourth quarter of 2007.
John Wiehoff, chairman and CEO of CH Robinson, said: "We are pleased that despite the increasingly difficult economic environment, we were able to achieve double-digit gross profit and earnings growth in 2008."
