Scientifics, Inc. (Pink Sheets:MHTX) announced today that it
successfully completed a $1.0 million private placement of equity for
general-purpose working capital.
Manhattan Scientifics is planning to achieve full compliance with SEC
filings and to regain its full reporting status. On February 3rd, the
company filed fiscal year 2007 Form 10-K. The company is diligently
working with its auditors to file the remaining Form 10-Qs for 2008
quarterly reports. Upon completion of these filings, the company will
immediately apply to be relisted on the OTC Bulletin Board.
CEO Manny Tsoupanarias said, "Now that our nano-titanium dental implant
metal has been approved for medical use by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), we have opened serious discussions with medical
device and prosthetics manufacturers regarding the use of our fine-grain
metals."
Chairman Emeritus Marvin Maslow added, "Discussions are underway with a
quality, deep-pocket, North America-based NYSE metal alloys manufacturer
to mass produce nanostructured metal alloys under license from us. There
is great interest expressed by both parties in these discussions."
