(RTI) will be the new President and CEO of Rutter upon closing of the transaction.

David Beutel, Chairman of the Board explained. "The recent announcement of the sale of the controls and automation group of Rutter Hinz has fundamentally changed the direction of the Company as we focus on our technologies and consulting engineering divisions going forward. The Board and Ryan mutually agreed that with this change it was appropriate that he step down at this time. Ryan took over the CEO role at a challenging time in our Company and was instrumental in the negotiations with Rockwell. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank him for his service to the Company".

In commenting on the appointment of Mr. Edison, Mr. Beutel said "I am very pleased Fraser has accepted this new position. Fraser is a long-time Director and executive of the Company and his continued involvement in the Company's growth and most recently his role as Interim President of Rutter Technologies make him the ideal choice to take the Company forward. Under his guidance, RTI is making significant strides in increasing its business, improving the efficiency of all its manufacturing activities and refocusing its product and business innovation activities. Fraser will continue to build on these initiatives in his new role as CEO of the Company," he concluded.

Following completion of the sale, the Company's engineering division will continue to provide a full range of engineering consulting services to its many customers in Newfoundland and Labrador from the offices in Clarenville and St. John's. Through its 49% interest in AFN Engineering Inc, the division also provides environmental consulting engineering services throughout the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Rutter Technologies will build on the ongoing initiatives to bring further improvements to its expanding manufacturing activities. The division is also refocusing its product development activities and its efforts to bring new products to market including oil spill detection and ice navigation technologies. Industry has responded very well to these products and Rutter expects to introduce additional new radar products in future to supplement its main radar product and its Voyage Data Recorder.

"These are exciting times for Rutter's engineering and technologies divisions", Mr. Edison said. "Our recent appointment as a Tier 1 manufacturer by one of our largest clients demonstrates that Rutter is achieving success with the changes we've implemented to date. And the opportunities in the Province for our engineering division, not only to build on our existing customer base, but to participate in the major projects already announced such as Hebron, the Long Harbour smelter and the Lower Churchill will provide new opportunities to build our business.
