Mar. 3--BOULDER, Colo. -- More than a dozen companies from the Boulder area are slated to present at the Venture Capital in the Rockies conference that runs Tuesday through Thursday in Beaver Creek.
About 300 investors and others in the venture capital industry are expected to attend the event and see presentations from 24 firms from the Rocky Mountain region.
The organizers of the event this year made a conscious effort to recruit companies in the budding cleantech, new power generation and Web 2.0 sectors, said Seth Levine, managing director of the Superior-based Foundry Group and co-chairman of Venture Capital in the Rockies.
The show attracts investors from both coasts and as far as Australia, Levine said.
Boulder-area companies presenting include: Cocona Inc., Fuser, Iggli, Infotility, ION Engineering, Justin's Nut Butter, LogRhythm, Market Force Information, OPX Biotechnology, Porous Power, SocialEyes, Symplified and TerraLUX Inc.
