release of the PLATO Learning Environment™ (PLE™). PLATO Learning’s
continuous innovation and investment in PLE affords subscription
customers instant access to valuable new features and functionality

teacher and student communication tools, and enhanced batch enroll
features. Found in more than 1,200 educational institutions across the
U.S., this software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery platform now has more
than 1.2 million registered learners and has delivered more than 16
million instructional sessions since its launch in 2006.
Licensed on a subscription basis via an Internet application service
provider (ASP), PLE combines 21st-century technology with PLATO
Learning’s award-winning curricula, assessment, and standards management
to create the industry’s first truly unified system for integrating the
key aspects of the educational process—delivering engaging classroom
content, formative, prescriptive assessment, and instruction; standards
and curriculum management; custom course creation and publishing; data
analysis and reporting—all through a single, intuitive, online interface.
