New York-based specialty pharmaceutical company Hi-Tech Pharmacal has reported net sales of $29.4 million for the third quarter of 2009, an increase of 95% compared to net sales of $15.1 million for the same period of 2008.
The company’s net income was $2.1 million, or $0.18 diluted per share for the third quarter of 2009 compared to a net loss of $1.5 million, or $0.14 diluted per share for the same period of 2008.
David Seltzer, President and CEO of Hi-Tech Pharmacal, said: “Our continued success in the Dorzolamide with Timolol ophthalmic solution and Dorzolamide ophthalmic solution markets this quarter led to record sales and significantly strengthened the financial condition of the company. Hi-Tech will continue to invest in its future growth as we did with the acquisition of ECR Pharmaceuticals.”
