Canada-based developer and manufacturer of hydrogen generation and fuel cell products Hydrogenics Corporation has received $1.8 million of orders for electrolyzers to be used in various industrial applications. The company anticipates delivery of these units in 2009.

Daryl Wilson, President and CEO of Hydrogenics, said: "These orders further demonstrate the strong, global leadership position of our OnSite Generation business unit, particularly for applications that require a high standard of performance, durability, and reliability.

“Included in these awards is a repeat order from the largest power utility in Africa for electrolyzers to upgrade its electrical generating capacity. We continue to see a steady pace of proposals for a variety of industrial gas applications, primarily to increase operating efficiencies or replace outdated on-site generating equipment."
