Nevada-based energy storage systems provider Altair Nanotechnologies has reported revenues of $5.7 million for the full year 2008 down from $9.1 million for the full year 2007.

The company reported net loss of $29.1 million, or $0.34 per share for the full year 2008 compared to a net loss of $31.5 million, or $0.45 per share for the full year 2007.

The basic and diluted weighted average shares outstanding for the full year 2008 were 85.9 million compared to 71 million for the full year 2007.

The company's cash and cash equivalents decreased by $22.1 million, from $50.2 million at December 31, 2007 to $28.1 million at December 31, 2008.
