California-based fully integrated alternative energy company Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide has reported total revenues of $5.9 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2009, a net decrease of 17% compared to total revenues of $7.1 million for the same period of fiscal 2008.

The company's net loss increased from $1.4 million, or $0.02 a share, in the third quarter of fiscal 2008 to $13.6 million, or $0.14 a share, in the third quarter of fiscal 2009.

For the nine month period of fiscal 2009, the company reported revenues of $17 million compared to revenues of $16.8 million for the nine month period of fiscal 2008.

The company's net loss decreased from $80.3 million, or $1.06 a share for the nine months of fiscal 2008 to $62.1 million, or $0.69 a share for the same period of fiscal 2009.
