Mar. 14--Two local companies that trade on the Nasdaq Stock Market will announce financial results Monday morning.

Providence Service Corp., a social services provider, will report its fourth-quarter and year-end results for 2008. Shares for Providence closed at $4.26 Friday, down eight cents from the previous day's close. The 52-week high for the stock is $31.36 per share.

Applied Energetics Inc., which specializes in the development and manufacture of lasers, high voltage electronics and optical systems, will discuss results for its fourth quarter, which ended Dec. 31. Its shares closed at 20 cents Friday, while its 52-week high reached $2.94 per share.
