BRIEF: Oregon DEQ Holds Open House on PDX Wastewater Permit

Mar. 17--The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public open house about Portland International Airport's wastewater discharge permit.

The DEQ and Port of Portland staff will share information and answer questions about the renewal process for the airport's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit. The permit includes conditions concerning runoff into the Columbia River and Columbia Slough from deicing and anti-icing aircraft and roads.

The event will be held Thursday, March 26. An open house will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m., followed at 6 p.m. by presentations and a question-and-answer session.

It will be held at PDX Air Cargo Center, 7720 N.E. Air Cargo Road.
