New Products Slurry Valve
Plant operators can choose a longer lasting, lower maintenance valve for controlling heavy slurries, as ITT introduced a valve design that incorporates the unique patent-pending Guillotine Gate(TM). Unlike traditional knife gate valves, the Fabri-Valve SVl push-through slurry valve features a gate design that slices through high density slurry at an angle. The gate slices cleanly through tough slurries and prevents the seat from cutting and tearing, while also reducing the amount of discharge from the valve.

Turbomachinery Testing
OROS now offers a dedicated software solution for users, manufacturers and third party service contractors dealing with turbomachinery testing. This new solution for vibration acceptance tests, signatures, diagnostics and other troubleshooting operation has been developed entirely by users for users.
ORBIGate is for technicians and engineers dealing with turbines, compressors, pumps, gear boxes or other turbomachines who have issues with their rotor and bearing vibrations. It is also of interest to people working in a power plant, a chemical site or a turbomachinery service center.

Software
Ventyx(TM), announced eSOMS Suite Version 3.6, a commercially available software designed to help utilities comply with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's new Nuclear Fatigue Rule.
Release 3.6 of Ventyx Shift Operations Management System (eSOMS) software includes enhancements to the software's Personnel Qualifications and Scheduling solution that will help utilities comply with the NRCs recently enacted rule (10 CFR 26, Subpart I), or "Nuclear Fatigue Rule (NFR)." The NFR was enacted to manage schedules to avoid fatigue of personnel at commercial nuclear power reactors. All nuclear operators must be in compliance with NFR by October 1, 2009.
