DealerTrack Systems, a subsidiary of DealerTrack Holdings, a provider of on-demand software and data solutions for the US automotive retail industry, has announced that it is launching the integration of the DealerTrack dealer management system (DMS) with American Honda Motor's interactive network dealer communications system.
According to DealerTrack, iN Plus RealTime enables transactions between dealers and the manufacturer that are communicated and integrated on a real-time basis, an improvement on former batch processes.
In addition to real-time processing, new features include: VIN inquiry interface, enhanced warranty interface, enhanced parts interface.
DealerTrack Systems has said that the Honda and Acura dealers using the DealerTrack dealer management system (DMS) with the new factory interfaces will be able to expedite critical transaction processes and eliminate data errors. Information will transfer seamlessly from one system to another without having to be re-keyed.
Raj Sundaram, senior vice president of solutions and service group at DealerTrack, said: "We are pleased to provide full integration with Honda's new real-time communications system, which should significantly enhance the appeal of the DealerTrack DMS to the approximately 1,000 Honda and 260 Acura dealerships across the US."
