Fortune 500 information technology company Unisys Corporation has unveiled its new Unisys Converged Remote Infrastructure Management Suite service offering. The offering provides enterprises with a single, converged view of their IT infrastructure and the ability to monitor and manage the end-to-end environment.
The company said that this service delivery model can be rapidly deployed for an enterprise without having to change the underlying IT infrastructure and operations. Geographically dispersed enterprises with multiple platforms and service models, locations, and legacy systems can now get the benefits of a single monitoring and management system.
This helps lower the client's cost of implementation and preserve its investment in existing IT infrastructure, while making it simpler for Unisys to tailor services to the client's specific requirements.
Also, through correlation of events, the Unisys Converged Remote Infrastructure Management Suite can trigger defensive actions to prevent repeated incidents.
It uses advanced analytics, problem and knowledge management capabilities conforming to the ITIL standard for service management, and advanced automation techniques for incident identification, diagnosis and service restoration across the IT infrastructure.
Independent research and consulting firms such as Gartner, Inc. and Alsbridge estimate that remote infrastructure management services can reduce enterprises' service costs by as much as 25 percent or more. Unisys believes that the Unisys Converged Remote Infrastructure Management Suite can provide savings in that range while significantly diminishing the risk to business operations from IT failures.
