Mar. 24, 2009 (Investor's Business Daily) -- HULU, a joint venture of News Corp. (NWS) and GE's (GE) NBC Universal unit, saw viewership rise 42% to 34.7 mil in Feb., making it the nation's No. 4 Web video site, ComScore (SCOR) said.

THE NEW YORK TIMES (NYT), the newspaper publisher, said it will sell its Times Daily paper in Florence, Ala., to Tennessee Valley Printing. Terms weren't disclosed. Shares rose.

GILEAD SCIENCES (GILD), a drug developer, said it's beginning phase two clinical trials of its drug cicletanine, an oral agent for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. It slid 1%.

ROBBINS & MYERS (RBN), a maker of oil and gas gear, said Q2 EPS slipped 2% to 46 cents, a nickel above views. Sales fell 11% to $164 mil, below estimates. It cuts its '09 EPS outlook. Shares declined 6% in late trading.

AUTOLIV (ALV), a maker of seat belts and air bags, said it cut 3,000 more jobs in the first 2 months of '09, resulting in 9,000 total job cuts since June, or 20% of its staff. Shares tumbled 11%.
