Q26 Elite samples now available – latest generation CDMA product,
offering close compatibility with Q26 family of GSM/GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA
and HSPA Wireless CPU® products.
Regulatory News:
Wavecom (Paris:AVM) (NASDAQ:WVCM) today announced that its Q26 Elite
Wireless CPU® has passed all FCC and CDG 1 & 2 testing and is
Safe for Network on the Verizon Wireless, Sprint and Aeris networks.
The Q26 Elite features QSC technology and supports GPS, making it
uniquely suited for fleet management and tracking applications with E911
requirements. The Q26 Elite, like several 3GPP-based products of the Q26
Family, is automotive grade – ruggedized for extreme environmental
conditions, meeting some of the toughest quality requirements in the
industry.
Several Wavecom customers are already designing products around the Q26
Elite for applications ranging from metering to automotive to water
quality management.
”We have been working closely with Wavecom for six years using their
Wireless CPU® devices in a host of different Multi-Tech
applications,” said Jeff Davis, Vice President of Engineering for
Multi-Tech. “The Q26 Elite is a natural fit for us because the form
factor is the same as the other Wavecom Q26 products, so we can design
our hardware once to enable either CDMA or GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPA
connectivity.”
“Wavecom remains fully committed to supporting the most pervasive
standards, ranging from GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSPA through CDMA and
satellite-based wireless communications technologies,” said Anders
Franzen, President of Wavecom, Inc. “Now more than ever, M2M solution
providers with applications on CDMA networks are looking for support,
and we are pleased to be able to offer it with our new Q26 Elite.”
