Mark E. Faford has been named vice president, investor relations and
corporate communications of Arch Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: ARJ). Mr.
Faford will continue to serve as the Company’s primary contact with the
investment and media communities.
He has been with Arch since its 1999 spinoff from Olin Corporation (and
had been with Olin since 1977). He has held various positions within
Arch’s finance department and has been involved in the Company’s
mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including the 2003 divestiture
of the Company’s Sulfuric Acid business, where he served as general
manager.
He holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University
and an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is a member
of the National Investor Relations Institute and, from July 2005 through
2008, served as liaison between Arch’s CEO Mike Campbell and the
Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations (ACTPN), the
principal trade advisory committee providing overall policy advice on
trade matters to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).
Mr. Faford is located at Arch Chemicals’ headquarters in Norwalk,
Connecticut.
