New Agreements Continue 25-Year Relationship and Will Help Speed
New Products to Market
Synergetics USA, Inc. (NASDAQ: SURG), a medical device company that
designs, manufactures, and markets innovative microsurgical instruments
and other devices, today announced the signing of a new, three-year
agreement with Codman & Shurtleff, Inc. (“Codman”), an affiliate of
Johnson & Johnson.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Codman will continue to market and
distribute certain bipolar generators and related disposables and
accessories supplied by Synergetics. Additionally, Synergetics and
Codman extended the license agreement providing for the continued
licensing of Synergetics’ Malis® trademark to Codman for use
with certain of its products, including those covered by the
distribution agreement.
