Apr. 2--West Iredell crushed Carson in shot attempts Tuesday and won on the scoreboard, too.

The Warriors downed the Cougars 3-2 by outshooting Carson 33-4.

Rhiannon Roark scored twice in the second half, which helped West (3-7 overall, 3-6 North Piedmont 3A) break free from a 1-1 halftime tie.

Ashley Frye also added a goal for the Warriors while Camila Pieprahipa and Taylor Branton both had assists.

Rebecca Overcash made two saves for West while Carson keeper Haley Pitzer had 23 saves.
