Apr. 3--Suffolk police on Friday asked for the public's help identifying and finding a suspect in the theft of a woman's wallet and credit cards from her workplace in Commack.
The wallet was stolen from a pocketbook in an employee area of a Pier 1 Imports store in Commack on Feb. 22, police said. The unattended pocketbook was in a back room where on-duty employees kept their personal possessions.
The victim's American Express card was later used at a nearby Target store, and a man and a woman who used the card were videotaped at the store, police said.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential and the caller will be eligible for a cash reward.
Fourth Squad detectives are investigating.
