ST. JOHN'S, April 8 /CNW/ - Rutter Inc. (TSX: RUT) confirmed today the appointment of Mr. Fraser H. Edison as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

David Beutel, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said "Under the leadership of Mr. Edison, our Board is looking forward to the continuation of the positive results achieved in the technologies division and now, with the completion of the sale of our controls and automation assets, the Company will now focus on its core competencies in engineering and technology", he concluded.

Continued development in this part of our business, particularly in the area of radar technologies, represents exciting opportunities for the Company" he concluded.

There will also be a renewed focus on the engineering division, indicated Mr. Edison, which will continue to offer multi-disciplinary consulting engineering services. "We have a solid business based on contracts from our clients in the public sector and anticipate we will see growth in this area due to the significant amounts of investment in public infrastructure over the coming years," he said.
