TORONTO, April 8 /CNW/ - Sears Canada Inc. has been advised by Evenflo Juvenile Products that it is voluntarily issuing a safety notice regarding all models of the Evenflo Envision(TM) High Chair. There is a potential for the screws and recline fasteners on the sides of the high chairs to release, posing a choking and fall hazard to children.

Sears sold one of the affected high chairs through the Sears Canada catalogue and online at www.sears.ca, between May 2003 and April 2006. The Sears regular price was $99.99; the affected model numbers of the Evenflo Envision(TM) High Chair that was sold at Sears are 2891321, 2891333, 2891351, 2891403, 2891478 and 2892351. The model number and production date can be found on a white label attached to the back of the seat.

In the interest of consumer safety, Sears Canada urges customers who own an affected Evenflo Envision(TM) High Chair to cease use immediately and contact Evenflo for a free repair kit by calling toll-free at 1-800-265-0749 (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET) or visiting www.evenflo.com.

Sears Canada will be posting signs in all of its department stores to advise customers of this safety advisory. Sears Canada is bringing this matter to the public's attention in the interest of consumer safety and regrets any inconvenience that may be experienced by our customers.
