Apr. 21--Jacksonville can boast of only two Fortune 500 companies this year, as the two Fidelity National companies that made the 2008 list dropped in the rankings this year.

CSX Corp. was 240th (up from 261 in 2008) on the magazine's annual list of the largest U.S. corporations, with $11.3 billion in revenue last year. Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. ranked 340th (up from 347) with $7.3 billion in revenue in its last fiscal year.

But Fidelity National Financial Inc. ranked only 523rd with $4.3 billion and Fidelity National Information Services Inc. ranked 612th with $3.5 billion. The cutoff for making the Fortune 500 was $4.6 billion in revenue.

Fidelity National Financial, which ranked at 435 in 2008, saw its revenue fall last year because of the slumping housing market. That lowered demand for its title insurance services.

Fidelity National Information, which was at 481 on the list last year, dropped because it spun off its Lender Processing Services Inc. unit as a separate public company. LPS actually ranked 946th this year with $1.9 billion in revenue.

Three other Jacksonville-based companies made the Fortune 1000 list: Landstar System Inc. ranked 743rd with $2.6 billion in revenue, MPS Group ranked 839th with $2.2 billion and PSS World Medical Inc. ranked 946th with $1.9 billion.
