Through this agreement, Smith Micro Software will deploy its QuickLink Mobile multi-mode connection manager to support WiMAX and WiFi network access for Comstar- United TeleSystems's (UTS) subscribers across a wide variety of mobile devices, PC cards, USB modems and embedded modems in laptops.

Alexandr Gorbunov, vice president of strategy and development at Comstar-UTS, said: "QuickLink Mobile gives us a competitive edge in our continuing WiMAX and WiFi roll-out through its automatic device detection and secure network access, which will drive a positive subscriber experience in our services.
