May 11--The IdeaCentre A600 All-in-One is an ultra-sleek 21.5-inch Lenovo desktop computer, powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor. It even has options for ATI Radeon graphics card with DirectX10 support; up to 4GB of DDR3 memory and up to 1 TB (1,000 GB) of hard drive space.
The A600 also boasts a 16:9 aspect ratio screen that supports 1920x1080 full-HD resolution wherein movies and television shows could be viewed with better visual experience. Its integrated speaker system with a bass sub-woofer even has a Dolby Home Theatre audio certification, plus a digital TV tuner that enables users to watch and record TV programs. In addition, an optional Blu-ray player can also be integreated, making this latest IdeaCentre a complete multimedia center.
For security, the A600 has Lenovo's unique VeriFace facial recognition technology that uses the facial image as a log-on password. Several connectivity options are also included: WiFi, a 6-in-1 media card reader, side-mounted USB and FireWire ports, plus additional USB ports on the rear panel.
On the portable computer side, both the new Lenovo IdeaPad Y650 and IdeaPad Y450 are smaller, thinner and lighter than their previous models. The IdeaPad Y650 is Lenovo's first 16-inch widescreen laptop that weighs only 2.55 kg, while IdeaPad Y450 sports a 14-inch display. Both models embodies a sleek black design.
The Y Series laptops are expandable up to 500 GB of hard drive storage space and up to 4GB of DDR3 memory. Like the A600 desktop, both have a 16:9 format glossy widescreen panels, optional NVIDIA GFX graphics and HD video playback. A Dolby Home Theater surround sound is achieved with the JBL speakers on the Y650.
Standard for both models are the latest Lenovo technologies including: Lenovo OneKey Theater software--the PC's display and sound effect settings can be adjusted easily; Lenovo Desktop Navigator--users can toggle between shortcuts, files and other frequently used programs; OneKey Rescue System--enables users to recover their data and restore system files after system failures and a destructive virus attack; and VeriFace facial recognition feature.
