RIM Creates 200 Jobs With New Atlanta Facility

(Source: Datamonitor)trackingResearch In Motion has announced plans to create 200 jobs in Atlanta with a new center that will employ technical staff to work on next-generation BlackBerry devices.

Sources close to the company said it has identified a 40-acre site near Alpharetta's North Point Mall to build the facility.

RIM recently reported a 26% increase in fourth-quarter net profit to $518.3m, on revenue up 83% at $3.5bn. For the year it reported a 46% increase in net income to $1.9bn, on revenue up 84% at $11.1bn. The growth was attributed to strong sales of its BlackBerry devices.
