(Source: Business Wire)trackingJanel World Trade, Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: JLWT), a full-service global provider of integrated logistics and environmental services, today announced that its Environmental Projects Division has received a positive final report from The Wuxi Environmental Monitoring Service for its independent testing of ClearBlue 104, a uniquely chelated ionized copper sulfate product, distributed exclusively by Janel World Trade in key regions in China. The testing focused on two key capabilities of the product; its ability to reduce bacteria and coliform in the test lake water, and its ability to kill algae spores in the test water. The report is available for review at http://www.janelgroup.net/documents/FinalReportforCB104Tests.pdf. The Janel team, along with our consortium partner, Easen International Co., Ltd. and The Wuxi Environmental Management Service, conducted and monitored the test results.

Paul McCreary, President of Janel's Environmental Projects Division, was in China to lead the testing initiative. "We couldn't be more pleased with these formal test results. We proved that our product eliminated virtually all bacteria and deadly coliform in the water; bacteria showed a decline from 400 cfu/liter to undetectable levels (UDL) using 1ppm of ClearBlue 104. Coliform was reduced from 1300 cfu/liter to <20 cfu/liter and fecal coliform was reduced from 220 cfu/liter to <20 cfu/liter using only 1ppm of ClearBlue 104. Algae spores in the test water were 3.78 million units per liter, and our tests showed kill rates of up to an 89% kill rate on algae spores using the manufacturer's suggested application rates. We now feel we are in a great position to offer an integrated solution to the Chinese Government to fully address the complex issues facing this critical watershed," stated McCreary.

In May 2007, Lake Tai was overtaken by a major algae bloom and remains plagued by major pollution with high levels of bacteria, coliform and fecal coliform. The lake provides water to nearly 30 million residents, including about three million in Wuxi alone. As of October 2007, the Chinese government had shut down or given notice to over 1,300 factories around the lake, but the damage to the water basin had already been done. The urbanization level around the Lake Tai basin ranks first in China. With the development of industry, agriculture and an increased living standard in recent decades, the water pollution issue of Tai Lake is worsening.
