GreenHunter Energy, engaged in wind development projects, biomass power generation and biodiesel production, has appointed Ronald Ormand to its board. Mr Ormand will serve as the chairman of the audit committee.
Mr Ormand has over 25 years of investment and commercial banking experience in the energy industry. Currently, Mr Ormand serves as executive vice president and CFO for Petro Resources and previously served as president of Perugia Advisors, a financial advisory and private investment firm focused on the energy industry.
Gary Evans, chairman, president, and CEO of GreenHunter Energy, said: "Ron will be a great addition to our board of directors as we continue to navigate through this very difficult period in the renewable industry.
"We have worked together on various financial projects over the past 15 years in our respective professional careers. Ron was previously employed with our primary bank lender on our biodiesel refinery, WestLB."
